Everlast Energy Studio Jacket Review & Giveaway
By Cindy | November 15, 2007
The Everlast Energy Studio Jacket provided to conduct this review will be given away to one of my lucky readers.
The Everlast Energy Studio Jacket is tailored for the woman’s body and made with the same Everdri technology that blocked the wind and tempered the chilly outside temperatures of the Everlast Energy Studio Pants.
Details and Facts:
- 88% polyester/12% spandex
- Trim is made of 95% polyester/ 5% spandex
- Lining is made of 100% Coolmax polyester
- Contains a mini pocket just inside the left side
- Made in Indonesia
- One color scheme: black with purple and ruby red side seam taping
- Sizes in S, M, L, XL
- Care instructions: Machine wash cold with like colors. Use only non chlorine bleach when needed. Do not use softener. Tumble dry low. Cool iron when needed.
Features I liked:
- EverDri Technology. I like to run outside, but find it hard to dress appropriately as the weather shifts toward cooler temperatures. With the EverDri feature,a shell of protection wraps the body against the wind and cold temperatures. It also removes moisture from contact with my skin. This is fantastic for my long runs. I enjoy the cool temperatures without it penetrating my skin.
- Stylish design. The colors are perfect for me. I love purple and black. The simple, but classy trim provide a fashionable design for me to enjoy. The jacket tapers in just above the waist. I know it may seem silly to think about fashion as I’m running laps around the neighborhood, but I like feeling comfortable and nicely dressed as I hit the pavement. It’s one of the simple pleasures I can enjoy for myself. As a mother, it’s important to grab a hold of the things that make me, me!
- Brand is unobtrusive to design. I like the fact that the Everlast Brand is just above the collar on the back of the jacket. I don’t appreciate large logos cluttering any clothing. It’s nice to be able to reference the brand without it taking the whole show.
- Quality Stitching. The threading is held securely from the seams to the added trim. The tight stitching will make fraying difficult for some time. The zipper is secure and made of high quality material.
- Zippered Pockets. I like having pockets to contain a few items in my workout clothing. The small pockets in the front of the jacket are perfect for a set of keys and the cell phone. The matching zipper colors to the trim added a nice touch to the front of the jacket.
Feature I disliked:
- Determining the right size. For in-store shopping, having a S, M, L, XL option isn’t too bad. You can try the product on and find the right fit. When searching online, these sizes make selecting the right size very difficult. The website does not provide specific waist inches or more technical details to make a good determination of the size that is most appropriate for women’s body types. I recommend calling for more specific details about a product or having a good knowledge of Everlast products before purchasing online.
Everlast products are high quality. They are strong, durable and designed for a woman’s body. For the Energy Studio Jacket, I really liked the small pocket for my iPod and small items like my YMCA id card. Reasonably priced at 36.99, the jacket is bound to be a part of the wardrobe for a long time to come. Yes, their products stand the test of time. You can check out the large selection of Women’s apparel on Everlast’s Website.
