Housecleaning Workout Tip: Laundry

By Cindy | August 20, 2007

housecleaning.jpgDo you do your laundry a load a day or do you wait til the end of the week to tackle the mountain? Regardless of your method, the folding of laundry is a time consuming task, so let’s shape up the body in the process. For this week, while you’re folding the laundry, stand up and shift your body weight from side to side as you move your left foot to your right foot and vice versa. The extra movement may not seem like much, but it’ll be an added five to ten minutes of aerobic output if you’re a daily load gal or a good thirty minute workout for the gal that does the laundry all at once! Crank up the music or watch some t.v. and you’re multitasking away.

This is a great tip about getting in some exercise while doing the laundry.

I have a another one:
While the water is boiling for the pasta or rice for dinner, do 12 of jumping jacks, 12 squats, 12 walking lunges and repeat the cycle until the water has boiled. That is a great mini workout too!
