Housecleaning Workout Tip: Vacuum

By Cindy | July 29, 2007

housecleaning.jpgTry vacuuming with your non-dominant hand. The added challenge will work the less-used arm muscles through pulling and pushing. You’ll feel the added stress to the unused muscles! Just by vacuuming, you’re using your abdominals, back, arm and leg muscles. Quicken your pace and you’ve just created a new workout around the home. You’ll finish the chore in less time and have an extra burst of physical fitness added to your household routine!

When I was teaching myself to juggle, I began doing everything with my non-dominant hand and arm that I could in an effort to improve my coordination. And it worked!

I am not completely ambidextrous these days, but I am pretty close to it.
