Goal Call Monday is your opportunity to be focused, accountable, and motivated to make your goal a success.

This week’s Winner is…MomWeightLoss at Losing It. Congratulations! Your special reward this week is a Victoria Secret Garden Romantic Wish Hand and Body Cream (7.25 oz).

Ready to Share? It’s simple:

1. Enter your goal in the comments below (anytime during the week).

2. You’ll be listed in the Goal Call section next Monday. Enter your results/progress from the week to be entered in the drawing.

Why You Want to Participate:

Focus on your top one-week goal in health, diet or exercise.

Accountability is shared here in the comments and by coming back with the results.

Motivation will be provided through your desire to achieve your goal and return with good news or the challenges you faced. As an extra motivation, I’ll enter anyone who participates in a random drawing to receive a surprise reward (different prizes given each week).

Goal Call

How did you do? Did you accomplish your goal, get stuck, have a funny story to tell?

  • Blaine: How’s the recovery from the marathon?
  • Lynn: 5 of 6 workouts is a great job. You’re staying focused and keeping your week chocked full of variety.
  • Cindi: How did your focus on eating prior to your medication go? Focus on breakfast as your mandatory first start to the day. Little by little you’ll find the groove.
  • Susan: I completely agree with the return to normal after holidays. Way to workout. Are you on track with your eating plan?
  • Lisa: What did you do for your workouts? It’s nice to find your focus isn’t it?
  • MomWeightLoss: How were your runs? Did you have nice weather to explore outside?
  • CFO: Nice focus on smaller sessions to establish your exercise habit. Balancing fitness and blogging along with all of life’s other ventures is quite the challenge. I look forward to seeing how the plan worked out this week.
  • Rachel: How did the pilates and yoga go? Did you alternate or try to do a little of both everyday?
  • TheCoolMom: Wonderful way to start your journey. For the 5 days of abs, does it shift up the exercises each day to focus on different muscles? Are you enjoying the interval cardio routines?
  • MizFit: Way to get your days of meditation. How did you do it with the little Tornado (I love your nickname) around? Were you able to keep up the rituals this week?

I look forward to hearing how you did with your goals. A surprise reward will go to one of you for commenting on the results (good or bad)! Check in and report any time during the week before the next Goal Call Monday is posted! To see their original goals, click here and read the comments.

This week went fairly well. I missed one workout because of apartment stuff, but we did 2 hours of walking around out-of-doors at the zoo, and one evening we went to the park to walk around as well, which is built on a HUGE hill that I climbed up and down!

This upcoming week, my goal is to get through my husband’s birthday with some degree of On-Planness… we’re having several guests over and I’m planning to have veggie trays and someone’s bringing a fruit tray, but I will need to find some sort of good cake recipe and whatnot, also allotting for the fact that some people aren’t on a diet and might take a table full of rabbit food as some sort of personal criticism… and my best friend’s daughter is Type 1 diabetic, so I have to count carbs for everything…

It’s going to be a hassle and a half, and my goal is to get through it with a smile and make everyone feel comfortable, welcome and taken care of for their dietary needs.

Hi Cindy, Well, for this week, I’d like to continue doing some form of yoga or pilates each day. My back is not going to allow me to slack off. I also have the Redlands Classic on Sunday so I need to do a bit more riding this week. Wish me luck on Sunday!

I’m about 95% back on track with my regular eating plan again! I think I was going through dessert withdraw after Easter, and I didn’t even really eat a lot of junk. I wanted cake for a few days this past week! I didn’t make or buy cake, but the sole Cabury Creme egg in house didn’t last long!

I’m feeling much steadier now, but I’m going to continue focusing on improving the diet this week. I’m also going to work on getting in at least my 5 days of exercise.

I got in 4 days of abs and 2 interval workouts. Things fell apart a bit at the end of the week as I dealt with a thankfully mild bout of the bug going around. I was queasy and had a stomach-ache most of Friday and Saturday. It’s all gone now and I’m ready to get back on track.

This week I’m doing abs 6 days plus walking 3 days, circuit training 1 day, Pilates 1 day and Turbo Jam 1 day for a total of 6 days of workouts.

Hi, There has been a lot of stress in our family for the last few days. I am not doing any better because when I am stressed, I have no appetite. I will eat breakfast on Tuesday because my dad and I go out to breakfast every Tuesday and Friday. Thanks,Cindi

The marathon was a lot of fun. It was a pretty challenging course, but since I was treating it as a long workout and not a race I was able to maintain a consistent effort throughout the entire thing and finished exactly where I wanted to. This is good, since it tells me that I’m in the kind of shape that I thought I would be in by this point when I started planning out my training a few months ago.

I did pick up a little bug during the coaching class last week, though, and a marathon combined with an entire day in an airport or on a plane didn’t do a whole lot to improve matters. My legs feel fine, but I’ll be taking at least a few days off to make sure that I get enough rest to recover from both the race and this sore throat/cough. That’s the priority this week, so that I can still get in the training I need over the next couple of weeks to do the final tune-ups for the May 4th marathon.

Cindy, I just want to thank you for doing this - you’ve shown me that I can fit exercise into my day if I really want to! Last week I did 6 cardio and one yoga session, instead of 5 and 2 - I had my period and just wasn’t in a yoga kind of place. I have a long ways to go with yoga, I know.

This week, I’m back to the same goal (5+2). It’s really helping to work out every day. Last night, I actually ran 2 miles on the treadmill, and I think I could have kept going for a while. I honestly can’t remember the last time I did that!

Hi Lynn, Good luck with the madness. It’s always crazy, but worth the effort in the end.

Good Luck Rachel! You’re gonna do great with all the prep you’ve done.

Way to not dig into cake Susan. You’re a stronger woman than I.

CoolMom, Wow. Way to go with the week. Even with a bug, you managed to do a ton!

Oh, Cindi, I hope the stress subsides as you work through the mornings. One babystep at a time!

Way to go, Blaine, hope you start feeling better.

I’m working on keeping a food log again. I need to get a handle on the eating habits. I’m bumping my long run to 8 miles this week, so it’s gonna be my goal to make it through that one too!

Hooray! I won something! Which I suppose means I should start moving again!

My two runs were great. I was hoping to get in more runs last week but didn’t. But that just means that my goal this week is to fit in three!
