Goal Call Monday is your opportunity to be focused, accountable, and motivated to make your goal a success.

This week’s winner is…Cindi. Congratulations! Your special reward is a Bath & Body Works Pleasures Sweet Pea Shimmer Lotion (6 oz).

Ready to Share?

1. Enter your goal in the comments (anytime during the week).

2. You’ll be listed in the Goal Call section next Monday. Enter your results/progress to be entered in the drawing.

Why You Want to Participate:

Focus on your top one-week goal in health, diet or exercise.

Accountability is shared here in the comments and by coming back with the results.

Motivation will be provided through your desire to achieve your goal and return with good news or the challenges you faced. As an extra motivation, I’ll enter anyone who participates in a random drawing to receive a surprise reward (different prizes given each week).

Goal Call

How did you do? Did you accomplish your goal, get stuck, have a funny story to tell?

  • Lynn: The hostess, how did you survive the week? I’m sure it was with a smile and lots of love!
  • Rachel: How was your ride? We want to hear how you felt and did. Is your back feeling better?
  • Susan: Tackling 5 days of exercise and diet analysis. Great job and focus.
  • TheCoolMom: Great drive and focus on 6 days of workouts and quite the mix of routines. Are you enjoying the exercises?
  • Cindi: Focusing on breakfast, did you have one most days of the week? Keep your head up and remember, babysteps! You can do it.
  • Blaine: Rest and recovery. It’s important to be able to know when to do so. Your training experience is evident with your success. Keep up the great work.
  • CFO: So fantastic. It sound’s like you’ve really found your groove. I believe a mental trigger has occurred for your exercise routines. You jumped from 2 a week to 7. How fantastic is that? A day of rest may be in order, but finding the balance that works for you is part of the great thing about personalized training!
  • MomWeightLoss: 3 runs sounds wonderful. How did it go? Way to push yourself and keep moving forward.

I look forward to hearing how you did with your goals. The week to week progress continues to soar from beginners to advanced exercisers. A surprise reward will go to one of you for commenting on the results (good or bad)! Check in and report any time during the week before the next Goal Call Monday is posted! To see their original goals, click here and read the comments.

The cough lingers, but the sore throat is gone and I’m not coughing nearly as often. I took a lot of time off, Monday through Wednesday and Friday completely off and only 3 miles on Thursday/Saturday. All in all only about 15 miles for the week.

This week’s goal is to get back up to normal mileage. I expect that I will run in the high 40s or low 50s, but I’ll play it by ear and ramp up/down accordingly.

The party went… mostly well. One of my friends brought a bunch of full fat cheese - I’m a big time cheese freak, and I ate a lot more than I should have… overly full. I can’t actually remember the last time I had a distressed stomach from over-eating!! eeeep! Not quite looking forward to tonight’s weigh in. But I’ll keep ya posted.

This week, my goal is to get back to doing six sessions of workout! I’ve let the last two weeks go slack, working out 5 times week before last, or four times this past week because of “real life.” Yeah, well, my weight loss and getting fit is part of my real life, too, and I need to get back to it!

(We’ll see about this. I have a root canal tomorrow, which is usually my cardio day, and I don’t know that I’ll even remotely feel like exercise.)

I also have a new workout dvd that I’d like to preview and work in at least once this week, probably Friday. A friend of mine highly recommends it, and mailed me a free copy, on the requirement that I’d review it for other people, so I need to get on that!!

I accomplished the exercise goal, but the eating wasn’t the cleanest. I’m going to focus on that this week. My little niece had her christening this past weekend, so it was another visit, celebration, and big meal with the family. The visit is over, but my body still wants to eat the richer foods I normally don’t feed it!

Thanks, Cindy! I think my yoga days are actually my “off” days since I’m not good enough at it for it to be a genuine, strenuous workout yet. I also think that working out every day has been critical to me keeping it up. I would agree with you about a mental trigger - it finally dawned on me that I can find the time to work out, I just have to give up time that I spend on other things, i.e., blogging. Now, if I could only find the healthy eating trigger!

Last week, I did well again, although I cut my second yoga workout short because I just wasn’t feeling right about it, and hopped on the treadmill for an easy walk instead. This week, again, I want to do 5 cardio and 2 yoga sessions. I’m finding that I can do my cardio on the treadmill at a slightly faster speed, so I’m getting a slightly more intense workout in the same amount of time, which is great.
