I met my goal last week. Planning the same goal this week–Run 3 times and strength train in between.
Thanks for the prize!!
I ran 35:52 for 17th overall and 2nd in my age group. I could really feel Wednesday’s 20+ miles – definitely not doing that 2 days before my next 10k in August! For weekly mileage I dropped a little over 10% from last week but still managed to run about 100 km, which was more than I was expecting.
This week, I need to catch up on my sleep and start doing speed work. Not much sleep over the weekend and I don’t need to get sick. Wednesday will be my first speed session (technically the races are speedwork, but outside of those…) for this training cycle.
Vacation took over last week. I ran 4 times, but I couldn’t keep up with the push up challenge. So, I met half of my goal!
This week, I’m planning to tackle week 2 of the challenge again, to run 4 times and to drink more water. I’ve been so bad about my water consumption recently. I need to pump that up!
Blaine — congratulations on an awesome time in your race!
I appreciate your uplifting words about keeping my head up! I love your idea about the push ups and pull ups. I am also starting to to leg exercises to strengthen the muscles around my knees. Cindi
Great job Everyone. Awesome time Blaine, Looks like you’re right on track for that sub-34 in August.
Felice, with a vacation and still completing 4 runs, that’s success, girl! The great thing about working on increasing those push ups is that you keep going up and up even after a few days missed.
Cindi, No problem. You deserve it. Resistance bands used in place of many knee exercises are also great for strengthening those stabilizers around the knee without too much stress on the knee itself.
I didn’t quite make my goal-three days of holiday festivities kind of took over, but I did get in 2 days of walking and 1 of Pilates. I’m going to keep the same goal for this week.
I got my prize today.. THANK YOU.. I met my goal last week
This weeks goals.. 3 days Physical therapy, 1 day body sculpt class, 2 days with Personal Trainer
yeah, over the holiday weekend I took a major hit but I’m now back on schedule! The workout is great, effective and a killer! Thanks for the link!
Too much to pack for vacation left too little time for the meeting, so tonight will be my first meeting with WW! I’m super excited and my goal for this week is to be committed to putting every bit of food into my food diary!
Go get that goal, girls!!!!
Hi Cindy,
I dropped 2 pounds and 1/2 inch over the last week, did 4 cardio sessions (my goal was 5) and 2 strength training (my goal was 2).
I’m still eating clean, whole foods, and watching my tomatoe plants turn in to monsters outside, whee! I love tomatoes.
My goal is to keep on going, same story on the food, eating clean, same story on the exercise, 5 cardio, 30 min each in THR zone, and 2 strength training.
Congrats to Heather on the win, too!!
Way to keep moving forward now that the holidays are behind us.
Fantastic Work JoLynn!!!
I have been doing exercise for the muscles around my knee every night in bed! The pain has lessened and I am wearing a brace. This week’s goal is to continue strengthening my leg muscles. Thanks for the encouragement. Cindi
Ok I’m so late on responding to this BUT I did make my goals for the week. The week of the 13th was a bad one.. I only got 1 day in with trainer due to schedules and I worked out this am.. The week of the 20th my goals are to get 2 days in with trainer since physical therapy is over. Take 3 classes (low impact only) and 2 30 min workouts in the pool
