It’s Time for Goal Call Monday
By Cindy | July 28, 2008
What is your goal in health, diet or exercise this week?
Goal Call Monday is your opportunity to be focused, accountable, and motivated to make your goal a success.
This week’s winner is….Anita. Your special reward is Gardenia Creamy Body Wash (8oz) by Bath and Body Works. Congratulations.
Ready to Share?
1. Enter your goal in the comments (anytime during the week).
2. You’ll be listed in the Goal Call section next Monday. Enter your results/progress to be entered in the drawing.
Why You Want to Participate:
Focus on your top one-week goal in health, diet or exercise.
Accountability is shared here in the comments and by coming back with the results.
Motivation will be provided through your desire to achieve your goal and return with good news or the challenges you faced. As an extra motivation, I’ll enter anyone who participates in a random drawing to receive a surprise reward (different prizes given each week).
Goal Call
How did you do? Did you accomplish your goal, get stuck, have a funny story to tell?
- Blaine: Great week. I love how you’re able to workout with your wife. Good luck in the 5K.
- Brianna: 2 runs/2 walks with the kiddos. Way to keep charging and not being hard on yourself after a well deserved vacation.
- Cindi: You’re doing great. Knee pain subsiding and getting in 3 pool workouts.
- Susan: Great review of your spin class! Thanks for reminding us how it’s good to get out of our comfort zone.
- Angie: Turbo Kick Class 3x/Spin Class 2x and 8 glasses of water. You go girl!
- Mary: Welcome to Goal Call Monday! Drink 64 oz of water and exercise 30 minutes a day. Excellent and doable.
- John’s Weight Loss Blog: It’s great to have you at Goal Call Monday! Complete Week 4 of the 100 Pushup Challenge.
- Chief Family Officer: Joined and learning how to track Weight Watcher Points. Your progression has been amazing! Keep up the great work.
- JoLynn from The Fit Shack: What an inspiration you are! Testing the 6-Day Mini Makeover by Michael Thurmond. I look forward to seeing the results.
- Anita: Oh, I love Kitchen Dancing!!! Great way to refocus your energy. Pilates 2x/ 2-3 days aerobic activity.
- Felice: 4 Runs, Week 3 of the 100 Pushup Challenge, 2 sets 20 squat thrusts 3x, and more water. You’re staying focused and not quiting. Pushups are very advanced. The fact that you’re staying on top of the program and progressing at your own pace is fantastic! You’ll get there, so no getting down on yourself!
I look forward to hearing how you did with your goals. Great job focusing on the small steps! A surprise reward will go to one of you for commenting on the results (good or bad)! Check in and report any time during the week before the next Goal Call Monday is posted! To see their original goals, click here and read the comments.

We’re back from vacation! Time to get back to work!
Monday: Walk!
Tuesday: Yoga.
Wed: Walk!
Thurs: Aerobics.
Fri: Walk! (And don’t get ice cream when the kid does. HA!)
The 5k went pretty well. I placed 3rd overall, about 15 seconds behind my teammate who won the race. I ran 16:45 in the race, and totaled 101 kilometers for the week.
This week I’m going to get a short and easy speed workout in on Wednesday night and front load the week with my longer runs, since I’m racing the Beach to Beacon 10k on Saturday morning. My goal this week is to run 34:00 to 34:30 at that race.
Congrats Anita!
Last week, I didn’t meet my goal of 2 spin classes, just went to one but all other goals I met. Yea!
I have posted my goals for this week:
I will go to Turbo Kick class 3 times this week
I will go to Spin class 2 times this week
I will sit on the stability ball for at least 15 min. a day
I will do 50 stability ball crunches a day
Hi, I forget to come back and check in here. Are you on Twitter? You should tweet your posts so that I will remember to read!!
Anyway, goal for the week: EAT CLEAN.
Happy Monday! My pain is less and so I am going to attempt walking down the street and back without my knee giving out. I also have got to get back to drinking as much water as I was. Thanks, Cindi
this weeks goals.. 2 training sessions and take 3 Jazzercise classes
Oh Wow, Yeah! Thanks for the gift! I actually met my goals this week too-Hooray! This week my goal is to stick with 2 days of Pilates (it is definitely getting easier from when I first started the video) & 2 days of walking & 1 day of some other form of aerobic activity. Thanks again!
I’m happy to say I achieved all my goals for last week, including completing Week 4 of the Hundred Pushup challenge. Week 5 looks like a toughie though!
OK, I’m back on track this week!
Already under my belt:
Sunday: RUN - 45 min. with husband only!
Monday, 2:30AM - 15 min. yoga stretching to get back to sleep
Monday: RUN - 30 min. with husband and jogger
Looking forward to adding at least one more run later this week, as well as a yoga class on Thursday. Anything more than that will be icing on the cake!
I’m off to drink some water . . . like Cindi, I need to do more of that.
So Week One went pretty well, actually. Week Two has been about staying on track and staying motivated. Seeing the number on the scale go down has helped with that motivation! My goal this week is to stay within my points and earn at least 10 activity points
I did my first two runs early in the week and then DID get in a run on Friday. Hooray! No yoga, but we’ve been painting, which is quite a workout in itself. I’ve also kicked off this week with a run this morning.
