The 10k went well. I ran 34:08.1 for 60th place out of 52-5300 or so. I took Sunday off, but still ran over 100km for the week, so I was pretty tired going into the race. I’m looking forward to the end of the month when I get to my goal races and have had more than a month of speed work under my belt.

This week I just want to get my 100km to 115km in. I’ll be volunteering on Sunday for a trail race and won’t have time to run myself, so I’ll need to get the work in earlier in the week.

WOO! Last week was a success! I didn’t eat any ice cream and hit my goals everyday. This week is shaping up nicely.

Monday: Walk. (Which I did! Despite the HUGE rain clouds. However, I may have had too many cookies leftover from my brother’s wedding.)

Tuesday: Get over myself and GO to the gym. I’m PETRIFIED and CURRENTLY procrastinating.
Wed: Walk.
Thursday: Yoga at home.
Friday: Gym.
Saturday: Gym.

I can’t do the gym on Wed because my Husband is working and I’m not quite sure if I can emotionally leave the boys with the morning daycare staff there… I’m going to talk to some of them today when I finally get off my butt and go in today.

This is the longest comment I have ever left on your blog.

Ug, I seriously need to get back into Goal Call monday. It’s a little more than halfway through the year and I’ve halfway reverted to bad habits. I’m not journaling, I’m not getting in my waters, I’m not working out as much. However, trying to get myself all the way back to “performance grade” in a week’s probably going to wear me right out. So, let’s start small…

This week, my goal is to journal my foods. If I get all my waters and vegetables in as part of journaling, great. But if not, so long as I write what I bite, I’ll be good.

I got in 1 day of Pilate & 1 day of walking & my other aerobic activity-does cleaning the tub count? :) Joking aside-I have been doing quite a bit of house cleaning & am always surprised how much of an “aerobic” activity it can be.

As for my new goal-2 days of Pilates & 3 days of 15-20 mins of continuous activity (walking, dancing, running, etc.)

Last week was a success. This week I’m keeping the same goals but added one new one. There is a new piece of equipment at the gym called the Ab Coaster that I totally love. I will do 50 reps every time I go to the gym this week.

Congrats Blaine on your win for the week! And great job everyone.

Is it possible to hit a plateau a week and a half into a new weight loss regimen? :P I did well last week, sticking to the eating plan and getting 16 activity points, but I seem to have hit my first wall. Hopefully it’s a short one. Even though Weight Watchers lets me eat whatever I want, I’m going to eliminate most non-fruit/veggie carbs and eat more protein (a tough one for me since I love my carbs). I hope that does the trick to get the scale moving again!

Great job everyone.

What a terrific job, Blaine.

Way to face your fears Firemom.

It’s okay to have some doubts, but overcoming them and moving forward makes all the difference in the world.

Yeah, Lynn. Good to see ya back on board.

Awesome BK!

Wow, John 10 + miles. You go!

Hello, Feener. Vacationing and running. A star.

CFO, yes it is possible to hit a plateau. Depending on the amount of weight you lost over the course of the weeks prior, it may be a “recovery week” so to speak for the body. I’m not fully familiar with all the WW details, but using the activity points on top of the base points is really important as you continue to build your exercise routines. Your body needs the energy and the points are what keep you within healthy calorie ranges. Non-starchy veggie carbs should not need to be removed from your diet. Check with your leader and see what ideas are coming from your group class.
