goal-call-monday.jpg

Goal Call Monday is your opportunity to be focused, accountable, and motivated to make your goal a success.

This week’s winner is….Chief Family Officer. Your special reward is a Sun-ripened Raspberry Creamy Body Wash from Bath & Body Works (8 oz). Congratulations.

Ready to Share?

1. Enter your goal in the comments (anytime during the week).

2. You’ll be listed in the Goal Call section next Monday. Enter your results/progress to be entered in the drawing.

Why You Want to Participate:

Focus on your top one-week goal in health, diet or exercise.

Accountability is shared here in the comments and by coming back with the results.

Motivation will be provided through your desire to achieve your goal and return with good news or the challenges you faced.

As an extra motivation, I’ll enter anyone who participates in a random drawing to receive a surprise reward (different prizes given each week).

Goal Call

How did you do? Did you accomplish your goal, get stuck, have a funny story to tell?

  • BK: Goal achieved and continued with 1 session with trainer, 1 body sculpt class, teach 1 class and 1 day Cardio.
  • Blaine: Letting the hip recover and a speed session! You’re a great role model for showing how important it is to listen to the body and make sure the body gets the rest and recovery it needs.
  • Angie: Exceeded goal. You go girl. 50 reps on the ab coaster every day plus 5 days at the gym.
  • Shana: Welcome to Goal Call Monday. Go to Boot Camp M/W/F. Run 3+ miles T/Th. Stay on food plan. How are you enjoying the boot camps?
  • feener: Awesome vacationing running. What did the doctor say about your foot? Hope all is well. Run 4 Wed, 3 Thur and 6 Sat (my longest run yet).
  • Lynn C.: Good log of food and losing those pounds. Keeping up the journaling of food.
  • Anita: 2 days of Pilates & 1 day of 20-30 mins of activity.
  • Chief Family Officer: Congratulations on losing 10. What a wonderful accomplishment! Focusing on earning 24 activity points.

I look forward to hearing how you did with your goals. Great job focusing on the small steps! A surprise reward will go to one of you for commenting on the results (good or bad)! Check in and report any time during the week before the next Goal Call Monday is posted! To see their original goals, click here and read the comments.

Since I met all of my goals last week, I am going to use the same ones again this week! Boot Camp M/W/F and run 5k T/Th. I ran in an “official” 5k yesterday (Sunday) and came in 4th of 9 for my age division and 24th of 53 for all women. I am stoked!

I had a good week of training last week. Ran just shy of 100k, and got in my 12×400m workout.

This week’s goal is very simple: Sub-16:00 5k on Sunday.

Congrats Cathy!

I did not meet all of my goals this week. I did do the Ab Coaster more than 50 reps when I went to the gym but I didn’t go 5 days.

This week I have to take it easy because I’m sick but my goals are to get better, eat healthy and drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.

Have a great week everyone!

i did all my runs and actually felt really good on my 6 miles.
i did 3 today, and had the doc appt. NOT good news. she was in shock when she felt how tight and inflamed my achilles is on my left foot. she was surprised i didn’t have a stress fracture already. i got molded for orthotics and she suggested NOT running till I get them and even with them, i need time to heal …i will be writing more on my blog. sorry so long

I didn’t do well at all this past week.
My goal for this week is to go to bed between 9:30 & 10:00 each night & to get up when my alarm goes off so that I’m not “dragging” by 3 p.m. I’m also going to try to make sure I’m drinking enough water each day. Between the Olympics & getting back into the routine of working at school-these could be quite a challenge for me! :)

Ooh. I worked out six days last week (our gym is only open six days). I’m so proud of me. I’m entering these on Monday evening so I’ll tell you what I did today and the goals for the rest of the week.

Mon: Gym: elliptical and arm workout. AND walk in the evening with the boys. (I feel so great!)

Tues: Gym: Elliptical and run. AND walk in the evening with the boys. (

Wed: Gym: Elliptical and arm workout. AND walk in the evening with the boys.

Thurs: Gym: Elliptical and ab workout. AND Yoga in the evening after boys go to bed. (No walking with boys as we should have rain this day.)

Fri: Gym: Elliptical and run. Dance party with the boys in the evening. No ice cream (for me) if we get to take a walk (Friday walk = ice cream for BigBrother, hard to resist but must!!).

Sat: Gym: Elliptical only.

I’d like to really keep my portions in check this week. This is a new learning process for me. And while I did okay last week, I know I made some mistakes.

Yippee Shana! What a fantastic 5K finish.

Good Luck on the 5K run, Blaine. It’s almost a sprint for you isn’t it?!

Hope you’re feeling better Angie. Good transition of goals.

Definitely listen to doc, Feener. We don’t want you to get hurt even more. It’s tough sometimes especially when you get on a great roll. You’re the master of your goals!

Firemom, 6 days is perfect. Your body definitely needs one of rest. Wonderful layout for the week. The dance party looks like it’s going to be a blast.

Aw, thanks, Cindy! I did get my 24 activity points last week, but it was kind of tough. I’m going to stick with the same number this week, and shoot for 24 activity points again. I am supposed to be getting 28 by the time I transition to maintenance, I’m not sure that’s possible …

And thanks, Angie!

P.S. Cindy, my granola recipe did *not* turn out very well, which is why I haven’t posted it. I guess this is one of those times when all that fat makes a huge difference!

Hi! I’m new, but followed over from Firemom’s site. I just signed up for the Y and had my first training session today. My goals for the rest of this week are:

Do one class and one cardio workout every weekday that the kids aren’t in school. (We are in the middle of a tropical storm, so school gets canceled sometimes). I’ve outlined my schedule on my first post.

Thanks for helping us be accountable!
