As an extra motivation, I’ll enter anyone who participates in a random drawing to receive a surprise reward (different prizes given each week).

Goal Call

How did you do? Did you accomplish your goal, get stuck, have a funny story to tell?

  • Chief Family Officer: The Olympics were inspiring.  Way to earn those activity points!  Focusing on eating fewer carbs.
  • Blaine: Without failure, there is no progress.  Your constant dedication to improving will prevail.  With a goal to get some miles in with a quality speed session, you’re headed toward success in a few weeks.
  • feener: Will run 3 Monday, 5 Tuesday, Wed- off, Thur run 3miles and Saturday run 10 miles and keep icing foot.  Way to work through your foot injuries.  Great job.
  • Anita: Who can say no to Mom?  Hope all is well.  Keep up with the bedtime & try to work 1-2 days Pilates workouts in morning routine.
  • Jamie:  Welcome to Goal Call Monday!  Walk 3 days this week.  I love your sticky feet picture.
  • Shana: Boot Camp M/W/F and run at least three miles on Tu/Th.   Bootcamps are a ton of fun.  Great work.
  • Elizabeth:  Welcome to Goal Call Monday!  What a great lineup for the week to go to gym M/W/Sat and get back to using the elliptical on T/TH as well as focus on water intake back up to at least 64oz/day.
  • Angie: Goals for this week:3 Turbo Kick classes,2 Spin classes, 50 reps/5x-Ab Coaster, 50 stability ball crunches a day
  • Firemom:  Elliptical, 2 arm workouts, 2 ab workouts, yoga, and walking with the boys.

I look forward to hearing how you did with your goals. Great job focusing on the small steps! A surprise reward will go to one of you for commenting on the results (good or bad)! I ran just over 90k last week, with one speed workout. I wanted to do intervals, but working a little late led to a tempo run just to get over to the back cove on time, and I wouldn’t have gotten a good interval session after that. Instead, I just continued the tempo and turned it into 7-8 miles at tempo pace in the middle of 13 miles or so total.

This week I’m going to focus on mileage. I’ve already put in a 27k run this morning (somewhere between 16-17 miles) so I probably will not want to do intervals Wednesday night. I’ll see how I feel; if I opt to take it relatively easy then I’ll run a fartlek at lunch time on Thursday and then get another run in that afternoon with the group I coach.

Not eating carbs is not going so well. I LOVE my carbs! I’m earning more activity points each week, but I seem to be plateauing. Ugh. I think my goal this week is just to stay within my points limit, and earn at least 28 activity points.

I missed a day last week because, uh, I forgot just one shoe when I went to the gym. But I made up for it with an extra ab workout.

Here’s this week’s set of goals:

Monday: Elliptical and arm workout. (Dread! Woe! Arm workout! No!)
Tuesday: Elliptical and walk with boys in evening.
Wednesday: Elliptical and ab workout. (Dread! Woe! Ab workout! No!)
Thursday: Elliptical and arm workout.
Friday: Elliptical and walk with boys in evening. Refuse ice cream for self.
Saturday: Elliptical. Yoga after kids go to bed.
Sunday: Take a nap! Relax! Something!

Also: watch my useless calorie intake. Oof on one of those days last week. Ugh.

I’m walking 30 mins every morning. Doing the pushup challenge. Lunges- 3 sets of 15 reps each 3 x’s week. I’m going to keep a food journal regardless the food choices I make good or bad. I’m really wanting to work on my water intake and completely 100% getting off sodas.

I accomplished all the goals I set for myself last week. That felt great and I feel good but tired after 3 spin classes in a row. Hope everyone had/has a great week.

Congrats Anita!

Sorry I’m a little behind. I did not meet my goal last week, but my goal for this week was to get up early & do 2 days of Pilates & 2 days of walk/running before getting ready for work. All I’m going to say is so far, so good!

This website is so inspiring. I read all of your goals and it makes me want to get off my butt and start moving again. I was a very motivated and fit person until I hit a bump in the road financially. I’m tired of feeling down and I know that now is my time. This week I will drink at least 64oz of water. I will take kickboxing classes M,W,F, Sat and do the elliptical on T and Th. Wish me luck!!!
