Yes you can. The rest will be the best thing for your feet. You’ll feel re-energized and ready to go after a day or two.

WOO! I feel guilty winning though considering what a horrible fitness week I had. We had scheduling problems out the wazoo due to the fire dept being short some guys and while I managed physical activity everyday, I didn’t stick to my schedule. Here’s hoping this week is a little more sane.

Mon: Elliptical and arms.
Tues: Elliptical and abs.
Wed: Elliptical and yoga.
Thurs: First step class (!). Probably walk with the boys this evening.
Fri: Elliptical and arms.
Sat: Yoga and abs at home.
Sun: Yoga and abs at home.

I might actually go to the gym one day on the weekend but as FireDad will be home for three straight days, I think we’ll just be spending time together at home instead of trying to fit in mornings at the gym.

I did pretty good getting my distance in. I skipped a run yesterday that would have put me over 100k for the week, but since I spent 4 or 5 hours swinging and digging with a mattock while doing some trail maintenance, I didn’t really feel the need for another run. With all the rain we got from Hannah, we decided it made more sense to dig channels from where the standing water was on the trails rather than build a bridge. A couple of trees fell down while we were out there that we had to move, 1 on a trail we’d already cleared and 1 on a trail ahead of us. There were already 2 or 3 trees down as we went.

This week, I’m making attempt #2 at the sub-16 5k.

This weeks goals are posted on my blog, quick and simple.

*50 reps- Ab Coaster every time I go to gym
*50 stability ball crunches
*At least 5 days of exercise this week (in-home and/or gym)

Congrats Firemom!

Hooray, I did it! I managed to pull myself out of bed at 5:10 each morning last week & either walk (a little different in the dark) or do Pilates. I plan on sticking with the same goal this week too.

I didn’t do too well with my goals last week, but I still lost weight so I can’t complain. This week, I am actually making it my goal to cut back on exercise since I think I was overdoing it and burning out a little - no more than 40 minutes per day this week!

Gonna get some much needed rest today and start getting up earlier in the morning to go for a morning walk everyday and do my firm videos 3 x’s a week. More water and find healthier meals for dinner! I didn’t loose or gain this week so I guess I shouldn’t feel so bad
