It’s Time For Goal Call Monday

By Cindy | December 1, 2008

What is your goal in health, diet or exercise this week?

Goal Call Monday is your opportunity to be focused, accountable, and motivated to make your goal a success.

This week’s winner is…Asithi. Your special reward is a Subway Gift Card.  Congratulations!

Ready to Share?

1. Enter your goal in the comments (anytime during the week).

2. You’ll be listed in the Goal Call section next Monday. Enter your results/progress to be entered in the drawing.

Why You Want to Participate:

Focus on your top one-week goal in health, diet or exercise.

Accountability is shared here in the comments and by coming back with the results.

Motivation will be provided through your desire to achieve your goal and return with good news or the challenges you faced.

As an extra motivation, I’ll enter anyone who participates in a random drawing to receive a surprise reward (different prizes given each week).

Goal Call

How did you do? Did you accomplish your goal, get stuck, have a funny story to tell? This week is filled with great accomplishments. Keep up the great work everyone. You’re doing fantastic.

  • Blaine:  Fantastic Running.  Great time for a little R & R.  Get some good mid-week long runs in while I ramp up my training again before my mid-December taper for the 50 mile race.
  • Asithi:  3 sessions of circuit training, approximately 30 minutes long.
  • Shen-Li: Week four to keep up the workout at home DVDs so still the same goals for this week.

I look forward to hearing how you did with your goals. Great job focusing on the small steps! A surprise reward will go to one of you for commenting on the results (good or bad)! Check in and report any time during the week before the next Goal Call Monday is posted! To see their original goals, click here and read the comments.

Last week I cut back so much you might not have noticed any training…only got about 21 miles in. My left calf was bothering me so I went aggressive and took it easy.

This week I need to build back up, but will play it by ear. My plan could be anywhere from 40 to 80 miles this week depending upon the calf. If it is still bothering me on Wednesday, I’m going to schedule a massage for some repair work.

We’re on to week five so it’s time for a new goal. I’ve decided to focus more on cardio this week. Lately, all the exercises I’ve been doing are mostly yoga or pilates and not too much for the heart.

I’ll target to do three sessions of cardio this week.

Hey-I’ve been away from your site for a couple of weeks-they’ve been a pair of really crazy weeks actually!
My goal for this week is to just try to keep eating healthy (especially after the holiday weekend) & to keep my water intake up.

Still sore from my workout last night (not enough to be in pain, but just enough to know that I did something good for my body). Boy does it feel good to be sore the next day. It feels good to report that I reached my goal for this week! :D

I would like to keep my same goal for next week.

Erm… didn’t quite do three sessions of cardio like I planned for the week but I did complete 5 workout sessions at home using home DVDs so I’m still maintaining my original goals.

On an interesting side note, I’ve been doing mostly yoga DVDs and I’ve noticed my 22 month old son copying a lot of my movements :-p Maybe he’ll pick up yoga when he’s older.
