Mom Stages, which one are you?
By Cindy | November 24, 2007
“All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts…”~William Shakespeare in As You Like It
Which Mom Stage are you living?
- Pre-Pregnancy: You want to become pregnant, and prepare your body to a healthy weight and/or fitness level.
- Pregnant: You’re expecting. Congratulations!!! You want to learn more about your fitness options.
- Post-Pregnancy w/n 1 year: You’re caring for a baby and are unsure how to juggle lack of sleep, postpartum, and fitness.
- Toddlerhood or Teenagerdom: Does it really matter how long it’s been since you’ve last been pregnant? Children and teenagers are running your life and that is okay! Fitness can be come a part of your lifestyle!
- Grandma?! You’re still ultra-busy and fitness is still on your mind. Don’t worry, it’s never too late to experience a successful journey in fitness.

This may sound nutty, but I have joined meetup groups in our city, and I have yet to find other Moms interested in working out. It’s hard…I’d like to find a Mommy running group. Any suggestions on how to do that? Thanks
Hi Nap,
Oh, I know what you mean. I’ve been fortunate to find a walking/running buddy through my MOMS Club. I’ll do a bit of research and write a post. This is a great point. It’s so hard to find Moms that want to add “another commitment” to the day. I’ll need to think about this. Some immediate ideas are to check with Stroller Strides in your area, set up your own Meetup Group online, or post a request on your Church Community Board.
