Music City Moms Summer Fitness Challenge Unites Moms Across Middle Tennessee

By Cindy | June 12, 2008

cheerleader-pic.jpgStarting Friday, June 13, Moms are uniting at the Tennessean Offices to begin weigh ins, measurements and take Before Pictures to kick off the Music City Moms Summer Fitness Challenge running through September 5th. Initiated as an On-line Forum idea, the momentum to make the challenge a reality has taken off. Prizes are being put together, moms are starting to discuss meet up dates and goals are forming.

For moms in the local area, the challenge is an opportunity to find like-minded women on a journey to make healthy living a priority.

As moms, we have a responsibility to show our children how important it is to be fit and eat right. It’s not an easy task. We all have our weaknesses (mine are milkshakes in the summer)! We slip, we fall, but by gone it, we are going to overcome those shortcomings and make the journey a lifelong commitment to healthy living.

I’m excited to help answer questions, provide guidance to Moms, and be a virtual and in-person cheerleader! I look forward to meeting you tomorrow. Ask your questions. The boards are buzzing right now with plans, ideas and motivation. We’re looking at setting up workout dates and all kinds of exciting opportunities to stay motivated and challenged.

Don't forget to subscribe to my RSS feed and join in the Journey. Thanks for visiting!

What a great plan - very cool! I love that you are acting as a mentor for the program. :)
