Week 15: Good News and Shifting Routines, Apr. 6-12

    By Cindy | April 16, 2008

clipboard.jpgBoy, what a week! I got a part time job as a personal trainer for a nice gym near home. My schedule for the next couple of weeks is pretty hectic as I attempt to develop a semi-manageable routine. Of course, I don’t think anything is going to settle down until after we’ve returned from Puerto Rico. Hopefully, our family routines will fall into place then. It’s exciting, but overwhelming all at the same time.

Sunday: 1 Hour Gardening with a Mallet and breaking ground for the vegetable garden.

Monday: Full body strength training routine with 1 minute jump rope sessions between exercises.

Tuesday: Still breaking ground for the vegetable garden for 30 minutes.

Wednesday: 20 minute leg workout of lunges and squats using a BOSU Trainer, stability ball and resistance bands. The BOSU trainer is awesome. I really enjoyed the change up of the lunges and squats. Oh, and the pushups! Turn it upside down and hold the ends to do pushups–so much fun:)

Thursday: 2 1/2 mile run and full body strength training routine.

Friday: 30 minute mix of cardio, shoulder, and leg exercises.

Saturday: 4 1/2 mile run and 20 minutes on a stationary bike.

I didn’t get 18 miles of running as I had hoped this week, but I managed to complete a few endurance routines in preparation for the Half Marathon. Yikes, it’s two weeks away! Which means there’s only one more week of full blown workouts and then a lighter week leading up to the big day.
