Week 20: Thanksgiving Week, Nov. 18-24

By Cindy | December 2, 2007

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with family, friends and great food. My focus for last week was home and cooking. I incorporated moves into cleaning as often as I could. I resumed workouts the day after Thanksgiving at the YMCA. I described our Thanksgiving menu here. We had a full lineup of traditional dishes and casseroles. I ate small portions, but I really broke down when it came to the Eggnog. I just can’t pass it up when we only have it once a year.

Sunday – Wednesday: Housecleaning Tips implemented for sweeping, vacuuming, laundry, dishes, and bathroom.

Friday: 30 minutes of the Curves Style Circuit Training. To ensure that my heart worked at 75-85% rate, I ran in place using high knees and butt kicks at every other interval. The YMCA calls this room the Workout CafĂ©. It’s filled with 10 resistance machines and 10 “rest” areas. The rest areas are where you walk/jog/run in place. Each station is 30 seconds before proceeding to the next.

Saturday: I completed the 50 minute Yoga for Weight Loss Video I reviewed earlier this week. I felt refreshed and ready to tackle the new week.

I’m currently out of town and my access to the internet is limited. I’ll resume comment responses and interactions when I return.

I’m feeling guilty…I got sick and haven’t worked out lately. Back on the horse today!
