Week 25, 26, & 27: Too Busy to Think & Act! Jun. 8-29
By Cindy | July 1, 2008
In the last 3 weeks, I have only completed 6 workouts. Between 4 sets of overnight visitors and traveling to New York for my brother’s wedding, we have been completely removed from the typical crazy every day routines.
I fit in exercise here and there, but to be honest, it was moved to the lessor of priorities over these past weeks as I prepared the house (meaning major housecleaning that went neglected for way too long!) and enjoyed visiting with Ryan’s brother, his wife, and son, my brother and his fiance (now Wife!!!), and my parents. We’ve been to the zoo and chatted into the late evenings.
In Up State New York, we rented a cabin that had no internet, television or connections to the outside world. It was wonderful. The view of rolling hills, diary farms, ponds, and a fire pit was perfect for reconnecting with family and meeting our newest family members!
Asher absolutely loved fishing with Grandpa. I have so many neat pictures of him catching his first fish and walking to the pond with his fishing pole beside Grandpa (it’s the cutest Andy Griffin Show Picture).
Hence, my lack of blogging and visiting. So sorry, but I’m back and ready to kick in the new year for Go Workout Mom! The one year anniversary is coming up (July 4th!!!) and I look forward to setting up new challenges and great discussions.
Come on by tomorrow, for a Smoothie King Review and chance to win a gift card!!!

i love the fishing w/grandpa picture! sounds like you had a great time with family, which is really what life is all about.
Yes, family definitely takes priority. Sounds like you had a wonderful time. The cabin away from it all sounds so relaxing, especially with the busy schedule you had.
Congratulations to your brother!
You’ve got great memories of your vacation and you spent it with your family so don’t get too caught up in missing your workouts! You can get back into gear and pick up those weights (or hop on your cardio machine, etc.)!!!
life is WAAAAAY too short not to chuck it all for a bit and just LIVE!!
Sounds like a wonderful month! Love the photo!
