Week 7 in Review: Aug.19-25

I’m consistently getting one strength training routine in a week. The positive aspect of this is I am using the weight machine at home on a regular basis. Now I need to fit a second session into the week. I want to do the whole routine in one sitting, but I think I’m going to have to break up the routine into segments throughout the day. I eventually want 3 full routines a week. I know how beneficial strength training is for toning and dropping the inches!

I achieved the minimum 30 minutes most days of the week on my cardiovascular routines. I want to focus on making my walks/runs more intense. I’ve slowly increased my running minutes, but I only ran a total of 30 minutes this week. Everything else was in walking or daily activities.

I have found that I still put fitness below all other activities I’ve scheduled throughout the day. I need to put fitness on top and incorporate the rest of the activities around the day. The family’s daily routines are normalizing now that my husband has returned to work. I know it sounds strange, but the day flies by when he’s home and all the things we do change the dynamics of the day.

I haven’t formulated my workout plan. With the completion of my personal assessment, I will have a program in place by next week. This truly has been my slow reintroduction into fitness. I am not working on a get slim quick diet or overwhelming fitness workout to burn out quickly. I want to make fitness the priority in my life forever!
