Week 8 in Review: Aug. 26-Sept. 1
By Cindy | September 7, 2007
After reviewing the week, I realize that I have been taking my time with this journey. My commitment to lose weight and lead a healthy lifestyle is slowly changing for the better. For that, I am excited. I’ve definitely taken the slow road, but I’m already starting to see small results. Here’s what I was able to accomplish:
Cardiovascular: I’m consistently getting 30 minutes of running/walking combinations at least three times a week. My minutes are more running than walking!!! I’ve also walked a slow/moderate walk once a week for an hour with a friend.
Strength Training: I only got a partial strength training session in during the week. I was through one or two sets and something came up. I can’t even remember what it was I had to do.
Abs: I’m incorporating a few ab exercises after my cardiovascular training, but have not followed a complete program.
Nutritionally: I attended a Moms Night Out Iron Man Chocolate Competition, and I could not pass up any of the seven desserts. They were delicious. Mind you, most of the pieces were small, but I’m a sucker for chocolate regardless of the form. It was a great evening filled with lots of laughter!
