insert_link.jpgMy Google Reader is overflowing with wonderful articles. Here are a few gems that are sure to help in your journey to a healthy, fit lifestyle. It’s time to grab a cup of tea, water or coffee and enjoy!

Diet, the word, has a bad reputation because of the way it’s been used to label different plans. Here is a list of diets that you need to keep in mind when developing your eating habits, your own diet. Please be aware of the Diet Overkill: 25 Ridiculous and Most Ineffective Popular Diets. You want to look for balance and nutritional validity for sensible long term habits.

Preschool Mama has a great list of 40 Preschool Number Activities to Boost Counting. My favorite is #22 to combine exercise with numbers. She mentions using the calendar and having the preschooler touch her nose X number of times to match the date. Let’s take it one step further and do a set of exercises with your child. It’s early in the month, so do a combination of exercises with each one equaling the number of days. Have fun and be active!

Domestive Divapoloova has a great Inspirational list of words that will fit perfectly on the refrigerator. My favorite line is “Love what you got and always remember what you had.” Our body is a gift. Remember all it has done for you and what it is doing now. It’s a work in progress, but the hard work is in our minds. Keep moving and believing in your goals.

Reviews are in for Mom’s First Year Fitness Journal. See what Workout Mommy and Fitness for Mommies have to say about it. The journal is included as a free gift when you sign up for Go Workout Mom’s Motivator Newsletter, delivered once a week to inspire, encourage and cheer you on to a healthy, fit lifestyle.
